Splunk support?

Hey there, following up on a twitter convo with @mrtazz by opening an issue here per request.

So the most recent version of dashboards looks about a year old, and there's a mention of splunk and some other connections coming soon. I recognize "soon" is a relative term, but was curious if there's a chance of a new release to cover that and of course any further enhancements/updates. The splunk part in particular would be useful for an upcoming hackweek project we've got cooking involving dashboard. Thanks!
