Please explain the mixture of:

• a pre-existing docker image
• pre-existing features
• score feature
• score dockerfile
• ...

Some diagrams might help.

It would also be interesting to understand why buildpack-deps has been used as a base.
There are convenience tools missing for users/developers and it seems to focus on a "headless build" container actually.

Example: man is not installed by default:

$ man find
This system has been minimized by removing packages and content that are
not required on a system that users do not log into.
 
To restore this content, including manpages, you can run the 'unminimize'
command. You will still need to ensure the 'man-db' package is installed.

The explanation "not required on a system that users do not log into" is kind of counter-intuitive for a DevContainer.

On a DevContainer (for development purposes), i would expect user tools as well. Not only the bare minimum for building the application.

unminimize and manpages will add 40MB to the image. For me this is acceptable. Base image in this test is ubuntu:noble
