I just tried to fold code in a diffview where I had a new file, so no changes on the left side. Since diffview uses diff hunks for folding, that did not work (and the window kept that even after restarts - but that may have been me closing incorrectly, I don't really know).
In cases of deleted or new files, there will never be any diff hunk to fold with, so would it be possible to keep the folding mechanism of the individual's config intact in those cases? In my specific case, I use ufo for better folds, but I guess it should be independent of that.
