Re-publish Cursor marketplace listing after databricks-skills -> databricks rename

TODO from PR #77.

The Cursor plugin manifest at .cursor-plugin/plugin.json and the README install command have been renamed from databricks-skills → databricks to match the new Claude Code plugin name (and the github/gitlab/terraform/linear single-brand-word convention used by both marketplaces).

In-repo changes are merged via PR #77. What's left:

• Confirm with Eric Zakariasson (Cursor) whether the Cursor marketplace listing at https://cursor.com/marketplace/skills/databricks needs a fresh submission or just picks up the rename from the repo on next refresh
• If a fresh submission is required, file it. If the old slug is publicly used (e.g. anywhere we said "install databricks-skills"), arrange a redirect or just plan to retire the old listing
• Update any external docs / Slack announcements that reference /add-plugin databricks-skills

Context: original .cursor-plugin/plugin.json was added in PR #14 by Eric Zakariasson. The Cursor marketplace URL slug shown in search is already databricks (not databricks-skills), which is encouraging — it's possible Cursor uses the directory/repo as identity and name is just metadata, in which case this is a no-op. But worth confirming before users notice anything.

Update: the rename concern is much smaller than initially scoped. Slack search shows the Cursor marketplace URL slug for this plugin has been databricks since at least 2026-02-12 (Isaac Ke shared cursor.com/marketplace/databricks in #fe-build-with-ai). Multiple Databricks employees have been linking customers and internal users to that URL for months:

• 2026-02-21 — Jenny Sun (#eng-auth-platform, cc'd Fabian Jakobs as author)
• 2026-02-21 — Fabricio Hamada (#ext-databricks-data-help, to a Nubank customer)
• 2026-03-04 — Lennart Kats (#allhands-questions, "already listed for Cursor")

The pre-existing inconsistency was: Cursor marketplace URL slug = databricks, but our .cursor-plugin/plugin.json name and the README install command both said databricks-skills. PR #77 brings them into alignment with the public slug Cursor already uses.

Net effect:

• Users who installed via the public URL (the documented external path) are unaffected — Cursor's URL → install resolution was already keyed on databricks.
• Users who copy/pasted the (incorrect) /add-plugin databricks-skills from our README and have a ~/.cursor/plugins/databricks-skills/ cache locally may need to re-install to get future updates. Small population, since the public-facing slug they should have used was databricks all along.

So this TODO is more "confirm Cursor's listing picks up the rename smoothly" than "rescue orphaned users". Still worth a Slack ping to Eric Z. before assuming clean.

Reversed: the Cursor-side rename is not safe to apply now.

After actually fetching the Cursor marketplace pages, the install command shown on cursor.com/marketplace/databricks is /add-plugin databricks-skills — the URL slug databricks is display-only marketing, not the install identifier. The install ID matches our .cursor-plugin/plugin.json name field, and renaming it would orphan every existing user's ~/.cursor/plugins/databricks-skills/ cache from auto-updates.

PR #77 reverted the Cursor-side rename in commit 54ec175 and added .cursor-plugin/NOTES.md explaining the deliberate asymmetry to future editors. Claude side stays renamed to databricks (never published, no breakage).

This issue stays open as: coordinate a Cursor install-ID rename to databricks during a future major version bump, in concert with Eric Zakariasson (Cursor) to confirm Cursor either auto-redirects old install IDs or to issue a one-time migration notice.

Closing — not planned. The Cursor-side install ID stays as databricks-skills indefinitely. The asymmetry with the Claude side (databricks) is acceptable and is documented in .cursor-plugin/NOTES.md so future editors don't mistake it for a typo.
