Implement MathCAT into Orca screen reader

I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but maybe it can serve as a discussion on the topic. I'm referencing Orca's issue on implementing MathCAT: Feature request: integrate MathCat into Orca if and when possible (GitLab).

Orca apparently has some rudimentary MathML reading features, but I have never tried them and I don't know how good it is. Apprently not good enough, since this is an asked for feature in Orca.

Maybe some relevant questions to consider:

• How much work would this be?
• How should this be prioritized?
• Does it affect MathCAT's core code?

FYI: Orca is written in python, so incorporating MathCAT into Orca would be similar to what is done for NVDA: wrap a python interface around it and then write code that calls it when appropriate. Unlike NVDA, Orca does not have a add-on architecture, so Orca's code needs to be modified. I think this is a medium length project, maybe taking a month of work. Getting it into Orca's release requires sign off by Orca developers, so plans on how to proceed need to be discussed with them.
