[7.x] Titles Aren’t Synchronizing

I think I found a bug, I hope it's ok to keep posting this here.

I changed the title of a product in Shopify. When looking at the product in the Craft backend, this change is reflected. But not on the frontend. When {{ dump( product ) }} I see -_savedTitle: "old product title" +title: "old product title" and under data "title" => "new product title"

It seems like there is something not in sync.

I'm wondering if the Product element is just failing to save… we store the raw(ish) GraphQL API response data as a generic record in the shopify_data table, and then apply a subset of those attributes to the actual craft\shopify\elements\Product. The first save can succeed independently of the second, which would explain them getting out of sync.

Can you look for an error in your logs that follows this pattern?

It'd also be worth visiting the product edit screen in the control panel and picking "Validate Shopify product" from the action menu in the upper-right corner:

This will ensure the product can be saved without errors outside the synchronization logic. By default, it should be using the "essentials" scenario, and not care about custom fields and whatnot… but maybe there’s something wrong with the slug/URI uniqueness? 😬

Added a possible duplicate… although their observed behavior is a successful sync for the primary site, and a failure during propagation. 🤔

I don't have much experience with logs, so please let me know if I did it correctly. I looked at the file /storage/logs/web-2026-03-05.log (on this day I changed the title) and searched for Failed to synchronize Shopify product. There was nothing found in the file.

Validating the Shopify Product runs successfully.
