[feat] Add PublicMetaDB as a provider

Problem to solve

PublicMetaDB (https://publicmetadb.com) is a recent website to keep track of movies and tv shows.
However, there is no option (yet) to import from other sites.

Proposal

It would perhaps be a great addition to Crosswatch to add as a provider.

Hi,

PublicMetaDB’s website looks great. Really like the style of it. I hadn’t come across it before.

You called it a recent website though. What do you mean by recent? I’m a bit wary of investing time and effort into things that might vanish as quickly as they appeared. That’s the internet.

But..If understand you correctly: you mean add this as a sync adapter, not as a metadata provider, correct?

I’m seeing watch-history and ratings endpoints that look like they’d fit CrossWatch. I also see playlists, but I’m not spotting a dedicated watchlist endpoint (could be me missing it). CrossWatch doesn’t support playlists at the moment, only watchlist or PTW lists.

From what i can see the website has been registered on 23 december 2025,, so barely a month old. Ofcourse I fully understand your point you don't want to spend a lot of your spare time without knowing how it will involve.

I would like to suggest to leave this request on the backlog for now and check on a later time how pmdb evolves before investing your time in it.

There is a dedicated Watchlist under My Lists, however I'm not sure how it technically works
