It would be nice if alongside Arch, bootcrew would also build a CachyOS variant!

+1 for this. It should be possible as CachyOS is literally just arch with a few extra tweaks. They also provide a conversion script from arch as well as the docker images

I have a fork with a CachyOS Containerfile (https://github.com/tj5miniop/mono/tree/main/cachyos) - it does build and all packages seem to work, I just haven't had time to build it. I'm spinning up a Fedora VM to attempt a build now

I managed to get it to build with little to no issues, I can't boot into the image though - seems like an issue with the way the root account is set. I'll try another way soon

I'm a little whatever about it, I feel that adding a cachyOS based image won't really bring any value towards the objective of this repo (which is proving that bootc works on all these distros, and should be upstreamed to them).

This feels a little closer to something like linuxmint-bootc or something which would be out of scope.

TLDR: Not against it, but I also don't think there would be much value on having it - Would probably accept a PR if it actually makes sense to have it here

Yeah I can see that. It makes sense to only include base distributions here in this repo then say if something like CachyOS wanted a bootc image, they could just simply build off of this instead. I'll keep experimenting though
