Login fails with special characters

I input the correct login info but the "subscriptions" and "following" categories don't populate. I try "test login details" in the debug section of the settings and it shows "login failed". I see no errors or warnings related to Rumble in my kodi.log, just a lot of info "script successfully run" entries. I'm not sure how to proceed with providing more useful info.

Resetting session doesn't seem to do anything.

I can still make use of the app without logging in by just adding channels to favorites and manually browsing that way, but it would be nice to use the "subscriptions" or "following" categories as a home menu widget. The favorites category could work but it just displays the channels, not the content they upload so it doesn't exactly work as a home menu feed for recent content.

Hi,
Please can you state Plugin Version, Kodi Version & Operating System.
Also could you try (as a test) changing your password with only alpha numeric characters in rumble, then retry to see if that makes a difference. if you do not want to do that, could you try with a dummy account with a simple password.

When I got time, I should make the plugin log the details when using the test login feature.

Plugin is the latest (1.8.0), but I had the previous two versions installed before with the same problem. Kodi 19.4, Windows 10.

Changing my password worked.
Rumble requires at least one special character and it took some trial and error to find one that worked.
It failed with either an @ or a %, it worked with a !

Thanks for your report, I shall test with some special characters when I have time.

I have changed my password to one with multiple different special characters including a @ and % but still cannot replicate the issue.

I think it may have something to do with having two special characters in a row

I just tested again
for example

qnzy78Xc85Qq1u62R5l3jU!& doesn't work
qnzy78Xc85Qq1u62R5l3jU& works

Just done some testing and can replicate the issue. The issue is to do the MD5EX class generating a different hash when the characters count for the password is 24 or greater. I thought I solved this issue in #19 but it seems to have appeared again :(
