snap channel v2/stable not up to date

Describe the bug

The AWS CLI snap channel for v2 is not up to date with the most recent patch version of the CLI.

Regression Issue

• Select this option if this issue appears to be a regression.

Expected Behavior

The current version of the CLI available via the v2/stable channel would be 2.34.42 as of 2026-05-04.

Current Behavior

The v2/stable channel is stuck at version 2.34.39 as of 2026-05-04.

Personally, I find that the AWS CLI snap is the easiest way to install the CLI on Ubuntu and to keep it up to date, and I appreciate that the AWS team provides it. I hope that AWS plans to keep supporting this distribution channel officially, as noted in the installation instructions.
