I was not able to reproduce the problem (I tried with different laptop and docker login).

Can you check that your version of func is at least 1.9.1 (I tested with 1.10):

func version
v1.10.0

We had some problems with buildpacks in older versions of func CLI.

If it is still now wokring please post the result of running func build -v and func run -v
