Hi, small feature request for the Android handheld image.
Since andr36oid now ships Cromite, could the image please enable the Cromite / Chromium gamepad-access flag by default for these handheld console builds?
Why this would help:
- this device is a game handheld first
- browser-based HTML5 games are a natural fit here (I know the RAM and compute are weak, but this may change in future, and I have a good use case to test)
- needing to manually toggle the gamepad-related flag is awkward on-device
- a console-focused default would make web games and browser-based launchers work more naturally out of the box
Suggested outcome:
- enable the relevant gamepad access flag by default in the shipped Cromite config for andr36oid handheld builds
- or expose an obvious first-boot toggle if you don’t want it forced globally
Reason for request:
Cromite is privacy-hardened, so its defaults are understandable, but on an R36S / R36S Plus Android gaming image, controller usability in the browser is a particularly important use case.
If helpful, I can test a build or confirm whether changing the relevant flag resolves controller input for browser games on my unit.
