I have a question can this tool research about business management related topics? if yes which things should I change?

I tried telling openclaw to configure it for business management related research but it failed and warned me that this is for machine learning related topic.

other question is that is there any way I can tell this tool to analyze some documents then do research based on those documents requirements??

1. Can ResearchClaw handle Business Management topics?

Yes, it can. ResearchClaw is not limited to ML — it supports any research domain. When the topic doesn't match a specialized profile (ML, physics, chemistry, etc.), it falls back to the generic domain profile, which works with general computational/empirical research methods (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn).

The warning you saw from OpenClaw likely came from the older domain detector, which defaulted to ML. This has been improved in the latest version (PR #180 just merged) — the detector now correctly identifies non-ML topics and routes them through the appropriate profile.

To configure for Business Management:

The economics domain profile includes tools like pandas, statsmodels, and scipy — well-suited for business/management research involving surveys, case studies, or quantitative analysis.

2. Can ResearchClaw analyze existing documents?

Currently, ResearchClaw is designed to generate research from a topic — it searches literature (arXiv, Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex), formulates hypotheses, designs experiments, and writes a paper.

It does not have a built-in "analyze these documents" mode. However, you can work around this:

• Put your key findings/requirements from those documents into the topic field as a detailed research question
• The pipeline will then build on that specific framing

3. Tips for non-ML research

• Set experiment.mode: sandbox (not Docker) for simpler setup
