Hi there, appreciating your project really much! Though there are quite a few other options its nice to see one under such active development. I tested your tool (by chance, not that I was too eager to do so lol) across pop os 22.04, debian 12 & trixie and now Ubuntu 22.04.3. The first few times I had quite the struggles not knowing much about python package management system; on debian I got notice of it by causing some pip install errors especially around ectweaker (you'll get break system package warning if you do not know how to set up venv as you now show in your updated tutorial). With the new tutorial, it works like a charm! Well, might be due to the fact I now use ubuntu and you include the required commands to setup ectweaker as expected, but fairly certain if the python package setups are done with your updated installs they should work on both pop and debian, hope someone can confirm this soon. I run the AMD advantage edition MSI laptop Delta 15 (Delta-15-A5EX). Just one note/request: it would be nice to have some documentation on how the fan profiles basic & advanced differ, since in my case gui does not change (as I expect it should?) My fan speed is hovering from 17k around 23k up to 29k rpm so likely not real values or rather the transformation does not fit for my model given my fan is not actually running loud. gpu temps & fanspeed are not showing for me, all static 0. Most importantly, cooler booster does activate when clicking it! I need this feature to stop my laptop from overheating when gaming on linux because set defaults for fan speeds are too low and cooler booster never activates until overheat shutdown is performed. For me it'd be very practical to cycle it on and off every x seconds, so I will utilize your OFC-lite script to do so, just thought I'd suggest implementing it into the gui as well at some point as it could help to just shove some excessive heat from time to time (cooler booster is really overkill to run through while gaming, but required after 10,15 minutes depending on load to prevent overheat, so I'll likely just cycle it on for a minute every 4 minutes or so).

Thanks for testing on AMD laptops. As of now i do not have means to test it on AMD laptops and the EC mapping of AMD laptops are somewhat different from the intel ones.
If i can get the EC map for AMD laptops then i guess, i would be able to get them to work as well.
