Hi,

I have a non Solaredge battery system and I wonder if it's somehow possible to let the Solaredge inverter know I'm also using a battery. This battery is also been used for trading so will deliver energy even if the Solaredge system does so.

I'd like to start using zero export next year though then I will have to let the Solaredge inverter know what the battery is doing.

I did find this part but I don't understand how it works. Can I write a Home Assistant automation to send the battery watts to the input field or how to do I use it?

Enable when there is an additional non-SolarEdge power source (such as a third-party inverter) in the system.

Calculated meters will only be sent if there is a production meter configured to measure the external power source.
