Questions Regarding Quote, _processDirective

I would like to contribute to Tribunal and have a few questions regarding the quote and _processDirective.

as far as I can understand from README and code, implementing quote and _processDirective will require a message-passing bridge can you let me know which message-passing bridge is being used here or if I should create examples for multiple bridges?
