hash table sizing

Lately i found this nice info, recently posted, about hash table sizing : Adam-Kulju/Patricia#103
The method described there is familiar to me, i remember i read such in other articles, it seems wel-known.

Are you aware of this method ?
Can it be of any help for Sapling ?

Interesting! Yeah there are a few additional parts to the 'info' I'm still yet to add, but i'll hopefully get round to them soon!
