Better Backwards Compatibility

Once SOP is released for production use, each of future releases that change(s) existing API "shape" should have better backwards compatibility. Like the existing API is supported and new alternate recommended is introduced. Similar to how Google authors does it.

• An API can be marked deprecated and with announced removal date.
• An API is marked with newer, recommended version/replacement.
