sadly with the way i'm doing things i can't really get additional characters to just work.
i know that people managed to do it by replacing some game assets directly, but i don't want to do that, as i want the mod to be compatible with other mods as well.

There are problems with 'ő' and 'ű' as well. I understand why you want to make it fully compatiblewith other mods. Could you make any suggestion how could we implement these characters maybe with annother mod, or game file editings? I want to make a localization, but not having Ő and Ű is a big problem in my language. Main Menu works perfect even with these characters btw. Could you at least help me making a custom version of your mod or other mods to implement these? Thank you very much!

I solved this problem by writing to a fan graphic designer and he edited my game fonts

as far as I know, just edit the fonts in a graphics program (I don't know which one)

I looked for the fonts file in Hollow Knight repository, but couldn't find it. I'm not an expert, could you point me to the right direction? Any tutorial that might be useful. Or just simply where does Hollow Knight keep its font files? (as far as I know it uses 2 different font family, one in menus and one for the dialogs)

Thanks! I'll work on it a bit now, successfully extracted the resources.assets file and found the fonts. Now I have to edit them somehow and put them back. I'll figure it out somehow after all, but I think you'll hear from us later. Thanks again!

I have modified the font myself (Perpetua) but how do I import the font? I have used Asset bundle extractor and when I use your file it works, but I want my version to contain letters 'ć' and 'đ' as well. I made a perpetua text mesh pro asset in Unity but I don't know how to go from there.
