IP currently uses the SBOL dictionary to validate whether a strain specified in an ER document exists within a SynBioHub repository has a valid SBH URI and if the strain is listed under its corresponding Lab_UID. This level of validation isn't informative if there are strains stored in SynBioHub with no valuable information about the desired strain. It will be important for IP to check for certain properties about a given strain within the repository. This will ensure that enough information are provided for users of IP to run certain features supported in the tool that require specifying information about strains (ex: running an experiment and export the experiment into a SR).
