Issues

• STOPWORDS_ES has e and o but not y or u, so the commonest Spanish conjunction counts as a content word

• Measurement artifacts carry no provenance, so a calibration silently transplants between files

Railly/vcut#75 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 17, 2026

• nonspeech needs a seam witness, not an energy floor: the floor's discrimination does not survive the silence pass

Railly/vcut#74 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 17, 2026

• RUN_LENGTH=3 cannot see a retake that diverges at word three, which is six of the annotated defects

• No verb rejects unknown flags: nine more CLI surfaces still answer a typo with the default

Railly/vcut#70 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 17, 2026

• autoCutProposals emits one proposal per overlapping placement, inflating semanticCuts to 83 entries for 41 cuts

Railly/vcut#69 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 17, 2026

• writeRound overwrites the round's pre-fold EDL, so the deterministic pass's own effect cannot be audited afterward

Railly/vcut#68 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 17, 2026

• probeNoiseFloor anchors to the quietest window, which on an assembled render finds 4 pauses where 19 exist

Railly/vcut#65 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 16, 2026

• verify --windows misses adjacent repeats because its own window transcript averages them away

• locate --render reports "matches the file" for internal consistency, which reads as "the span holds what you asked for" and does not

Railly/vcut#62 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 16, 2026

• removedText disagreed with direct measurement on 16 of 18 proposals, so every cut needed an independent re-transcription to trust

Railly/vcut#61 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 16, 2026

• Nothing detects redundancy at distance: the same point restated minutes apart is invisible to every current instrument

Railly/vcut#59 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• say --transcribe hallucinates on wide and near-silent windows, and nothing warns the agent

Railly/vcut#57 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• No verb hands back the path to the report joins --report wants, forcing agents to read the session directory by hand

Railly/vcut#56 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• cut --list --jq field names diverge from the --human labels they display

Railly/vcut#55 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• say --transcribe and peek blame trx installation when the real cause is a missing --lang

• segment.id is positional (build-edl.ts:574), so any cross-round comparison by id reads renumbered survivors as changes

Railly/vcut#53 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• The session transcript is of the source, not the render: join-born defects are invisible to it by construction

• Stale EDL guard: session-aware reads should refuse or warn when a fresher EDL exists for the same source

Railly/vcut#51 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• Territory support for parallel editing: semantic export --from/--to and a cross-boundary duplicate check

Railly/vcut#50 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• srt query: raw cue access for a time range, the verb that kills the remaining python

Railly/vcut#49 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• cut --boundary-check: verify-then-propose in one call, with the join reconstruction folded in

Railly/vcut#48 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• Drift map: surface cache-vs-measured timing disagreement once at open, not proposal by proposal

Railly/vcut#47 · Filter by author Railly opened on Aug 12, 2026

• Color metadata check in outputErrors fails on ffmpeg 8.0.1: color_trc/color_primaries do not stick on a real encode
