Failed downloads

In the next few days, I get a lot of unrecoverable, broken downloads in qobuz (I do not use other modules).

Unrecoverable in the sense, in the past, I used to delete the broken file, download it again and usually it was fine.

Now, there are files you can't download.

This happen on all my pcs (and virtual too) and the download always fail at the same point with the same error message.

So I start to doubt it is a local issue.

Here an example:

Like I said, you can try to download this file again and again and it always will present you with that error prompt, same moment, same file.

The problem is: it happen very often: in a batch of 20 albums downloads, like 5 got an unrecoverable error like this.

Is this a bug or what?

I admit it happen also with other similar downloaders, so considering most of those use the same code to access the qobuz library, it could be a recent modification in qobuz servers.

With other downloaders it happen in the same file as Orpheus, same moment, same bit.

Any idea?

Any settings I do not know can happen? How tro go around this?

This sound crazy to me, then it is possible to solve this problem changing the connection and using a VPN. It is absolutely crazy and if someone knows why, it will be an interesting learning curve.

For some reason, using my normal, legit Qobuz account with OrpheusDL (and other similar software) sometimes download a broken file or two.

In another github page I found the solution: using a VPN helped to solve the problem and downloading the failed download. And example: I download an album using my connection and my legit account. One file of this album is broken, I try again and it is still broken like explained when I opened the issue:

It is incredibly enough, to activate a VPN (in my case I use a private VPN I maintain and own on a different domain of my normal connection) and the broken files download like a charm.

This is crazy, then it happen (for others in another github app of similar downloader with the same problem too).
