What happened?
While using Edge with a WHOOP 5.0 / MG band, I noticed that the heart rate graph contains multiple gaps throughout the day.
Instead of receiving a continuous stream of heart rate data, the app only records short segments separated by long periods with no readings.
I expected Edge to continuously receive and display heart rate data while the band is being worn.
Steps to reproduce
- Pair a WHOOP 5.0 / MG band with Edge.
- Wear the band normally throughout the day.
- Open the Heart Rate screen.
- Observe the heart rate graph.
Expected behavior
Heart rate should be transmitted and displayed continuously while the band is connected and being worn.
Actual behavior
Heart rate is only recorded intermittently, leaving multiple gaps in the graph even though the band remained on my wrist.
App version
v0.9.23
Platform
iOS (TestFlight)
Phone model and OS version
iPhone 16 Pro – iOS 26.5.2
Which band?
WHOOP 5.0 / MG (experimental — expect breakage)
