Hey @Thynix, thanks for reaching out. I can see @jacopotediosi 's point about transfer of repo being a security concern. We have done that in the past for other plugins but makes sense to go the fork/update overlay approach as a precautionary measure.

While doing that, you may want to try fixing the numerous compatibility issues with OctoPrint 2.0.0rc1 that are detected by octoscanner:

Feel free to reach out if you need help with any of these. At the moment, I see that the most complex part is getting the plugin installation to work, due to the setup.py relying on distutils/setuptools modules that no longer exist in recent Python versions.
