When HW connections get dropped it can cause the GUI to crash. We need to improve this by allowing the GUI to safely shut down even when HW connections are lost. This specificially happens when the psi coldbox connection is interupted and you try to close the GUI.
Describe the solution you'd like
When closing the GUI it should not crash when HW connections are lost. Instead it should give a pop-up dialogue box to warn the user that the device could not be shut down and that they will need to do so manually.
