New case revision request: 3rd fan on backplate + 3.5" HDD mount, and PSU compatibility check

Hi everyone,

I have two related questions about the case.

1) Modified case design
Would it be possible to produce the plans/files for a new revision of this case that could:

• accommodate a third fan on the backplate, and
• also house a 3.5" hard drive?

I'd love to know if this is feasible with the current design, or if the internal space / mounting geometry makes it impractical.

2) PSU compatibility
I found this power supply and I'm wondering whether it would be sufficient (power-wise) and whether it would physically fit inside the case:

• Flex ITX (1U) PSU, 400W
• Dimensions: 161 x 80 x 40 mm
• Note: it appears to be 220V only (not a universal 110-240V input), according to the product listing and reviews.

Hi, to answer these directly, but unsure which Case your referring too, but I assume the REDUX.

1. Third fan, on the rear is counter productive to the designed airflow path, you would be trying to ram the escaping hot air that is leaving the case back into the case, its a bad Idea, already tested this with 120mm slim Noctua fans, it hurts cooling performance, and the VRAM doesn't need any additional cooling in my case, I have discussed this ad nauseam, if you want to improve cooling on the REDUX, then switch up to 38mm 120mm 8000rpm server fans, Arctic do them :) but it will be like strapping a pair of Dyson Vacuum cleaners to your head.
2. 3.5" Drive is no go, I had to shave off every last mm just to allow 2 x 2.5" drives, for high capacity storage I recommend an external dock, or go with USB 3.0 to 2.5GB Ethernet and use iSCSI or NVMEoF I've done some testing with this, and the USB port is just as performant as connecting an NVME drive directly to the USB Port.
3. Yes that power supply is fully compatible, but note, its rubbish, I have several, yes it works, but its a pile of crap, wires are magnetic/fake copper, it has silicone slopped all over the place inside, the fan is loud and of low quality, it runs very hot, trips OCP well under its rating, and the 220v is normal, as 240v system is 210 to 250v, my house during the day will hit over 250v with sun shinning and at night drops as low as 230v some times 229v, the PSU works fine, would I recommend it, no, not anymore, better to pay the high shipping price on the FSP500-30AS, but avoid the Metalfish currently based on the stupid high price they are asking for it.
