What happened?
Bug Description:
Since the latest update introducing dynamically loaded content from Civitai, selecting individual model cards within the Model Browser causes severe application lag. Upon clicking a model card, the UI frequently freezes or becomes entirely unresponsive. The application occasionally recovers after a significant delay, but it frequently remains locked up indefinitely, requiring a forced termination.
Expected Behavior:
Clicking a model card should smoothly transition to the model's detailed view or overlay, loading the Civitai metadata and preview images asynchronously without locking the main UI thread.
Actual Behavior:
The application experiences intense performance degradation or a complete hang upon card selection. The freeze is intermittent in its recovery—sometimes clearing up after several seconds, and other times resulting in an unrecoverable crash/deadlock.
OS: Linux (CachyOS) app-image
Hardware: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 96GB RAM, Dual-GPU setup
Steps to reproduce
Open the Model Browser.
Allow the model grid to load initially.
Click on any specific model card to open its detailed view/fetch Civitai data.
Observe immediate and massive application lag/UI freeze.
