Should I wait for a fix? Or is it impossible to fix it? I've seen somewhere that it might be due to my antivirus. I have eset nod 32, but it used to work with it. Should I hope for a fix or at least an official guide on how to fix the installation?

Previously, everything worked fine. All packages were installed and updated without any issues. One day, forge neo simply failed to launch from matrix. I attempted to reinstall it, but afterward, none of the packages would install. It’s unclear where the exact problem lies, since forge neo operates normally standalone.
I've seen other people with the same issue in the comments under other issues.

We have received multiple reports from users on both here and on the Github Issues page of issues interacting with packages lately, every known case of this in the past couple days as been of users using ESET Security software.

If you are using ESET Security software, a recent update or change to the security suite functions may have started interferring with the functionality of the standalone Python distributions SM uses for installing/running packages.

This is multiple failures in package launching, installation, and venv modification (installing/modifying python packages within a WebUI package)

Remediation Steps in ESET Security application settings:

Add Stability Matrix's root folder that contains the .EXE and Data folder to exclusions
If SM is not installed in Portable Mode, then the folder to exclude may need to be C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\StabilityMatrix

In Advanced Settings of ESET settings:

1. Protections -> HIPS -> Deep Behavioral Inspection -> Exclusions

2. Scans -> Exclusions -> Performance Exclusions

3. Scans -> Exclusions -> Detection Exclusion

At this time there is no known inherit fix from Stability Matrix side for this. It is likely that ESET themselves would need to modify their detection with an update.

Antivirus and other security software have been known to cause issues with Stability Matrix and it's functions, ending up in breakage of the application functions due to false positive detection/heuristics.
Recommended action is to exclude Stability Matrix from the scanning/heuristic functions of the software.

lol, its just these AV companies are adding in AI into their detection/heuristics and its been doing things like blocking (and nuking) things like dev environments and some of the tools typically used.

In which this case, SM is similar in a lot of ways in the tools it uses like found in those environments... ESET is interfering with the standalone python execution SM uses for the package install/launch/modification.

So no bitcoins stolen or mined 😜

The program StabilityMatrix must already be running.When you launch the application, you need to go to the StabilityMatrix\Data\Packages\forge-neo\venv\Lib\site-packages folder and delete the sitecustomize.py file,every time you update.
