Hyperlinks for references?

The original list doesn't include many references in the form of hyperlinks. Do we want to emulate that or pivot to adding more links? (Eg MS-DOS, FreeDOS, EDR-DOS, or lDOS source texts.)

Good question.

Thinking about it what I think will work best is create a new section like Bibliography and Glossary called Links.

Then, leave it up to the new parser to convert such words and phrases to actual links throughout the documentation and to provide a "Links" section as well. Those in document links could either point back to the Links section and into more detail. Or, simply go to the URL.

Either action would at least give one centralized area to fix any and all broken external links.
