What problem are you trying to solve?

It'd be nice if there was a section designated in the generated config file where you could add manual config entries.

Proposed solution

If the UI could support adding it and give a basic yaml syntax editor it would be handy. Then write it to a special section probably with a warning stating that it can't verify the functionality within that section will work.

Very valid point. I'm new to kometa so I guess I'm trying to use QS as a standalone do all interface because it makes it so simple to run individual configs and the log analysis is fantastic.

I worked on generating some files to has a list of shows that are categorized the tv network that original showed them based on if they were broadcast, cable, premium, syndicated and streaming and I want to add a label to the shows based on that. So I wanted to play around with that. But also want to add a label based on the DayPart it originally aired at (mostly primetime). So probably more complicated then intended to handle with in the UI but thought it'd be cool to pop it in on one of the configs I made in QS. The log parsing helper is sooo nice.

The log helper exists whether in QuickStart or not. You cannot put the custom collections or overlays in your config. You'd need them in a separate yml file and reference that file in your config.

But the log helper exists with or without QuickStart

I think they are taking about the luma logscan that is available in QuickStart. Yes it's available in our discord however you need to upload to discord. In QS it's all integrated right now.
