Packaging theme for NixOS

Hi, I;m not sure how to switch between themes on NixOS. I tried the usual formatting, but nothing works besides this workaround on the nixos discourse that uses stylix instead.

Hi @Rainstripes, instead of adding pkgs.sddm-astronaut you should first override the input embeddedTheme of the package in nix when adding it to your path. For example, if you want to use the "japanese_aesthetic" theme, you should add this package instead:

pkgs.sddm-astronaut.override {embeddedTheme = "japanese_aesthetic";}

p.s. tbf it is confusing, I had the same issue as well :) let me know if this doesn't help!

Also here is the link to my own nixos module for sddm which uses the same theme, I reckon it might help you.

@L0L1P0P1 @Rainstripes Currently, the project doesn't officially support nixos packages, but there was once a issue containing a lot of information about packaging for nixos. Unfortunately, the author deleted their github account.

I'll try to add packaging for nixos and documentation, but right now I don't have much time to work on side projects.

@Keyitdev the packaging honestly is neither unusable nor it is that outdated (current version is on a commit from 20 days ago). I can open a PR giving a little bit of documentation for the current packaging on nixos if you want.
