I know most of the time video sharing sites like youtube will compress and artifact the hell out of the video making it unrecoverable, I was going to pad my files with par2 parity files but since this gzip's the files and won't recover any of the data if anything is corrupted that kinda makes my idea pointless.
is there a way to force output of any recoverable data even if the temporary gzip is mangled? or a way to implement this without the need to first gzip?
