Feature Request: Ability to cancel a running job with huge job tree

While dependable can manage the execution of elaborate workflow to completion, it is not immediately obvious how one could schedule a cancel, resume or pause an active workflow by using the dependable runtime alone.  If not exists, would you accept this feature request?
