App build fails with "no such file or directory: /home/user/lib/python3.10/site-packages/seashell/data/Contents"

In going through the prompts to build an app (IP, port, etc.), when I arrive at the final step, I get an error about a missing file (as above).

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Try to build the Mussel app using only default values, receive this error.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Ubuntu 22.04 (but I've also gotten this error on an Intel Mac, as well)
