Modal closes when switching browser window/tab while filling form

3. Switch to another browser window or tab to copy a password or any info
4. Return to Dokploy
5. Modal is closed, all data is lost

Current vs. Expected behavior

Following the steps above, I expected the modal to stay open when the browser loses focus, but instead the modal closes instantly on window blur, losing all entered data.

Tested on multiple browsers (same behavior).

Hi! I'd like to investigate this issue.

I'll first reproduce it locally, review the related issues (#2400 and #2372), identify the root cause, and, if there isn't already an active fix, I'll submit a PR with a minimal solution that preserves the modal state when switching browser tabs/windows.

Tried to reproduce this on canary in a real browser and could not trigger it deterministically. I tested the "Add Project" modal and the "Add Database" modal: filled the form, switched to another tab (and also dispatched blur/visibilitychange and repeated window focus events), then returned — in every case the modal stayed open and kept all entered data.

That said, the mechanism is real. The tRPC client doesn't set a global refetchOnWindowFocus, so it defaults to true (TanStack Query v5). The creation dialogs live inside subtrees gated by a query's loading state (project.one on the environment page, project.all on the projects list). When a window-focus refetch coincides with a remount of that subtree, the dialog's local useState(false) resets and the modal closes. It's intermittent and timing/latency dependent, which is why it reproduces on some setups but not locally.

The team already sets refetchOnWindowFocus: false on ~14 individual queries, so the surgical fix would be to add it to the two gating queries (project.one, project.all), or set a global default in the tRPC/react-query config.

Since I can't reproduce it reliably enough to verify a fix in the browser, I'm leaving this for maintainer input rather than opening a speculative PR. To help pin it down: does it reproduce on a remote server more than locally, and does it happen on a specific modal (e.g. Databases) or all of them?

I was able to record a short video showing the issue on my remote Dokploy instance.

Context:

• Dokploy version: v0.29.12
• Browser: Chrome
• Environment: remote server, not local
• Modal affected: Add Database / Databases modal
• DevTools Network tab was open with Fetch/XHR and Preserve log enabled

In the video:

1. I open the Add Database modal.
2. I select PostgreSQL and fill in some fields.
3. I switch focus / return to the browser.
4. The modal closes and the entered data is lost.
5. Around the same moment, /api/trpc requests are visible in the Network tab.

This seems to match the mechanism you described with refetch on window focus and a remount of the subtree.
