Can't edit the author information

The "author" drop-down has a pre-populated value, and while I can add new drop-downs, I don't think I can change the name of the author...?

I don't think I understand this issue well. Would you like to refer to an author differently in different bricks? You should be able to add any combination of authors you created under each brick. By convention, the top-brick authors apply to all sub-bricks where no other authors have been specified.
