Describe the improvement
when using search-bar, it is commonly required to start from scratch, however search-bar maintains last text. which is good however if say from "cmake" I need to type "7zip" I shall press backspace all the way or select all the text and press backspace once.
I propose to implement search-bar to contain small (x) on right corner( or left for R2L languages).
Describe how this improvement could help users
in the above workflow the user interaction is not ergonomic as one besides using mouse must also use keyboard.
this can be argued that searching anyways involves typing on keyboard, but on touchscreens or "past" situations it's an improvement.
yet even on normal desktop case it make less keyboard presses
