bug in color mode toggler

Hi, I found a bug in color mode toggler button, can I try to fix it?

• I was checking site performance using lighthouse and found your site quite slow specially for mobile users.
• I am suggesting some points which can be done to improve site perfomance:-
  1. Compress the images and convert them in webP format.
  2. Use lazy: loading in img tags for loading them later when user scroll to that section
  3. Use a bundler to reduce the size of codebase
