Expected behavior

Too many caves in Release 1.22.0 in world

Observed/Actual behavior

In Release 1.21.0, there are fewer caves and they are better balanced, whereas in Release 1.22.0, there are so many that the entire cave system consists of nothing but passageways.

Nothing changed on my end - it's vanilla generation, but maybe the seed is different. I'll look into adding a config so you can choose.

The overworld delegates to vanilla generation, and the dense passageways are vanilla's 1.18+ noise caves. Vanilla itself has no density knob for these, so I've added two world: config options (coming in 1.23.0, PR #115):

• overworld-cave-fill (0.0–1.0, default 0.0) — re-solidifies a fraction of the noise caves after generation, using a low-frequency noise field so caves close in broad patches (leaving separate chambers) rather than random holes. 0.0 keeps the current dense caves; try 0.3–0.8 to thin them out. Underground biomes, ores, decorations and structures are preserved.
• overworld-carvers (default true) — set false to remove the big ravines/tunnels while keeping the noise caves.

Both only affect newly generated chunks, so regenerate the world (or explore fresh chunks) to see the difference.
