Is it possible to include glibc?

With pkg2appimage, is it possible to somehow tweak the yml reciepe in such a way that the resulting AppImage would become glibc-independent? So I could run in on another machine with another glibc version? (I tried experimenting with the packages key but, unfortunately, with no success.)

pkg2appimage can't do that, but ./appimagetool-*.AppImage -s deploy can:
