This documentation covers the Wi‑Fi Art‑Net → DMX converter (DMXnetART v1.2): a compact device that receives Art‑Net lighting data over Wi‑Fi and outputs standard DMX512 to lighting fixtures.
DMXnetART is a bridge between:
- PC or controller software that speaks Art‑Net over Ethernet/Wi‑Fi
- Conventional DMX512 lighting fixtures (moving heads, LED pars, dimmers, etc.)
The converter:
- Connects to your Wi‑Fi network
- Subscribes to 1–3 Art‑Net universes
- Outputs the corresponding DMX channels on a standard DMX connector (XLR)
- Stage and DJ lighting setups
- Architectural and installation lighting
- Small to medium LED shows
- PC-based control (QLC+, Lightkey, Resolume, TouchDesigner, custom software, etc.)
