Subject: [PATCH] Neutral wording for shipped docs, ignore rules and the
 package check

- SpotFreshness.tables: keyed by dataset name.
- .gitignore: one rule for every hidden local directory except .github,
  instead of naming individual tools.
- Package contents check: the planted stray directories are .scratch.
